THE PLAY

KINDERTOTENLIEDER evokes the old tradition of certain Austrian villages, in which characters called Perchten, creatures from the underworld, are brought together in the streets. They rise by night to chase evil demons and take hold of damned souls to punish them.
KINDERTOTENLIEDER develops like a ceremony of disquieting beauty and languor, in which the snow falls unabatedly, to the sounds of the electric guitars of Peter Rehberg and Steven O’Malley (KTL).

At the crossroads of genres, the productions of Gisèle Vienne are regularly programmed in France and abroad at theatre, dance and contemporary venues. We wished to have you discover her universe and artistic collaboration with the American writer Dennis Cooper through this diptych presented in partnership with IAV and 108/ Maison Bourgogne.
