THE PLAY
A child has a strange and frightening dream. This dream is also an enigma he has to solve, otherwise he may never wake up again. Plunged in a scenic installation both playful and uncanny, the spectators are invited to embark on a kind of huge rocking bed, children’s room or ship.
The CDN has already presented two productions on which ML collaborated as a scenographer: KISS ME QUICK, directed by BG last season, and ALICE OU LE MONDE DES MERVEILLES by the Théâtre de l’Entresort in 2007. He is the artistic director of LA BOUTIQUE OBSCURE, named in honor of Georges Perec, and works at the crossroads of the plastic arts, literature and theatre. Mike Kenny lives and works in Great-Britain, has been writing for children for about twenty years and has been hailed by The Guardian as one of the ten most significant playwrights alive. The band Moriarty (winner of the Best newcomer award at the 2009 Victoires de la musique) will write the music for the show.
