Thanks to the partnerships and connections we have established, the CDN continues to broaden the range of its activities. We are very glad to present together with the Astrolabe and the Scène nationale and the support of the Center Region a new opera staged by Arthur Nauzyciel, RED WATERS, conceived with Sjón, Bardi Johannsson and singer Keren Ann Zeidel and composed during a residence in Orléans. Our partnership with the FRAC Centre also continues this season: on the occasion of JAN KARSKI (MON NOM EST UNE FICTION), the FRAC presents one of the first solo exhibitions in France of Miroslaw Balka, one of Europe's most important artists, and we inaugurate a cycle of readings on architecture. Authors such as Yannick Haenel, Marie Darrieussecq, Valérie Mréjen, Denis Lachaud and Olivia Rosenthal are being present, as well as the choreographer Damien Jalet and the musician Christian Fennesz.
And finally, we organize in spring a special programme for the young, with two stage directors, Pascal Rambert and Joël Pommerat, who will present shows they created for children and teenagers.

From documentary to fiction, theatre (Corneille, Shakespeare, Tchekhov, Koltès) and novels (Vesaas, Haenel, Smith, Collodi), from JAN KARSKI (MY NAME IS A FICTION) to PINOCCHIO, this season confronts us with a youth which is bullied and shocked by the world’s violence, but resists, takes commitments, dreams and learns how to grow up and to die. In these troubled times, the witnesses of History disappear, even the phantoms threaten to abandon us, but theatre carries us away, following a living, conscious, mature youth.
That is what Eric Vigner and his Academy, Vincent Macaigne, Gisèle Vienne, Alexis Armengol, Patrice Chéreau or Claude Régy, who comes for the first time to Orléans, speak about.
Welcome.
