THE PLAY
In the forest, a young athlete, icon of health and beauty, is training with her coach. Gradually, mist covers the stage and the mood switches from harmony to anxiety.
THIS IS HOW YOU WILL DISAPPEAR is a hallucinating landscape inhabited by three dances-actors, dolls, sound and fog. It is a show with the air of a contemporary myth confronting the audience as close as possible with troubled emotions. Gisèle Vienne is surrounded for this creation by her usual partners: the American writer Dennis Cooper, the actor Jonathan Capdevieille and the musicians Stephen O’Malley and Peter Rehberg. She works for the first time with the Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya who is sculpting fog, and the video artist Shiro Takatani, artistic director of Dumb Type.
After the Avignon Festival, Oslo and Tokyo, THIS IS HOW YOU WILL DISAPPEAR is performed on Orléans. The CDN has coproduced this creation after having invited JERK and KINDERTOTENLIEDER in 2009.
